Alhambra tickets: which one includes the Nasrid Palaces, Generalife and a night visit?
Updated October 14, 2026 · 6 min read
The ticket name matters more at the Alhambra than the words “skip the line”. Several products enter the same hilltop complex, but they do not all include the Nasrid Palaces. If the Court of the Lions and the decorated palace rooms are the reason for your visit, look for Nasrid Palaces in the inclusions before you pay.
The three useful ticket families
The official Alhambra General visit is the complete daytime ticket. It includes the Nasrid Palaces, Alcazaba, Partal and the Generalife palace and gardens. The official gardens visit is cheaper but excludes the Nasrid Palaces. A night ticket is separate again: it covers a limited evening route rather than the complete daytime circuit.
On GetYourGuide, the Alhambra and Nasrid Palaces entry ticket is the most-reviewed independent-entry option in Granada. Other listings add an audioguide or a live guide. Read the named areas, not just the headline: a product described as “Alhambra and gardens” may offer the Nasrid Palaces only as an option.
| Your priority | Check that the booking names |
|---|---|
| Complete first visit | Nasrid Palaces, Alcazaba, Partal and Generalife |
| Gardens and views | Generalife and gardens; accept that the palaces are excluded |
| Evening atmosphere | Night visit to the Nasrid Palaces or night gardens, whichever you actually want |
| Historical explanation | A guided visit with admission included, not a guide-only service |
The fixed time is not an arrival suggestion
Your ticket carries a specific entry time for the Nasrid Palaces. The Alhambra’s official FAQ says that missing it means losing access to that part of the visit. You can see the other included areas during opening hours, but they do not compensate for a missed palace slot. Plan the route around this appointment and allow time to reach the palace entrance from the main access pavilion.
Bring the original identity document used for the booking and keep the QR ticket available. Each visitor, including a child with free admission, needs a ticket. Names, date and time deserve a final check before payment because the official general ticket does not accept changes or refunds.
When tickets appear sold out
First check the official ticket office and then compare properly licensed guided products. A guided ticket can remain available when independent admission is gone because operators manage allocated places; it is not a loophole or a guarantee. Confirm that admission to the Nasrid Palaces is included and that the tour starts in Granada, not Málaga or the Costa del Sol.
Do not buy a gardens ticket hoping to upgrade at the gate. If only a night visit remains, decide whether atmosphere is enough: you will not get the complete daytime route. For most first-time visitors, a complete daytime ticket with the Nasrid Palaces is the sound choice. Browse current Alhambra tickets and tours and compare the exact inclusions and cancellation terms before booking.
